Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

1. The service

WebbBuyer operates an online marketplace where members can list, discover, and acquire websites and related digital businesses. WebbBuyer is a venue: we are not a party to the sale contract between buyer and seller, and we do not own, operate, or guarantee the businesses listed.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter binding contracts to use WebbBuyer. You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, applicable law, or the integrity of the marketplace.

3. Listings and Premium membership

Listing a website requires an active Premium membership ($30/month, billed via Stripe, cancellable anytime). Sellers must own the assets they list and represent that all figures — revenue, profit, traffic, and other metrics — are accurate and verifiable. Misrepresentation is grounds for immediate removal and account termination.

WebbBuyer may review, decline, or remove any listing at its discretion, including listings that are unlawful, misleading, or infringe third-party rights.

4. Fees, payments, and payouts

Buyers pay the listing price plus WebbBuyer's purchase fee — $10,000 flat when the listing is $20,000 or more, otherwise 5% of the listing price — and any applicable sales tax, calculated at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; WebbBuyer never stores card details. Seller proceeds are delivered to the seller's connected payout account. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once a transfer has completed.

Affiliates earn 10% of the purchase fee paid by buyers they refer through their /r/ link (first touch, 30-day attribution) — or through their referral code entered in the checkout field, which takes 5% off the buyer's purchase fee and credits that affiliate for the purchase. Commissions are funded by WebbBuyer's fee revenue — never by the seller — credit when a referred purchase completes, are clawed back if that purchase is refunded, and are paid out to the affiliate's WebbBuyer wallet. Affiliates pick their own code; changing it retires links built on the old one. Self-referrals, spam, and misleading promotion forfeit unpaid earnings and end participation.

5. Transfers and disputes

After payment, buyer and seller are expected to complete the transfer of the domain, code, accounts, and related assets promptly and in good faith, using the on-platform conversation as the record. If a dispute arises, contact us before initiating a chargeback — we will work with both parties and with Stripe to reach a fair outcome.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the platform: no fraudulent listings, no fake metrics, no harassment of other members, no scraping or interference with the service, and no use of WebbBuyer for money laundering or other unlawful activity.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Listings, automated site audits, and any scores or estimates shown on the platform are informational only and are not financial, legal, or investment advice. Acquiring an online business involves risk; conduct your own diligence. The service is provided "as is" and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, WebbBuyer's aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid to WebbBuyer in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced on the site; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
